Pisces - Zodiac Collection

Good morning and welcome to my inspiration post for The Paper Nest Dolls. I decided to use an older stamp for my card today - Pisces from the Zodiac Collection and made what I call a peephole card, because it has a peephole in it to the inside!

This is the card closed... You can see Pisces peeping out. I added swirls for the seaweed and dew drops for the bubbles on the outside.

And this is the inside... I used sequins for the bubbles this time so the card could close flat.

You can read more about my card on my blogpost here.

Spring Bouquet Ellie

Good morning everyone and welcome to my first inspiration post for The Paper Nest Dolls. I don't know about you, but I totally loved the new Spring images that Christine released not so long ago and I just had to use another one for my card today.

This time I have used the gorgeous Spring Bouquet Ellie and gave her a soft romantic feel. This image could be used for so many different occasions and that versatility is one of the things I love about The Paper Nest Dolls stamps!

You can read more about my card on my blog post here.

Don't forget our challenge is still running for another week or so. Have you entered your card or project in yet for a chance to win some fabulous goodies?

Princess for a Day

Hi everyone Monica here with a first Paper Nest Dolls flower tutorial.  I created this card using one of the new releases from the Fairytale line she is "Frog Princess". This is a series of differnt flowers you can make for your cards whether it is something simple or very ornate.

You can use any flower cut this is a 6 petal flower
I cut a tiny slit between each petal and ink the center with any type of ink - distress inks work extremely well as the ink spreads with the water
Spritz each petal and use like a paintbrush, pen etc.. and pinch each petal
Emboss and mold each flower and here you see how the petals turnout after your scrunch and wrap them over the tool
I stagger 3 layers and for the center I cut out petal off and glue together to form a tighter center
Here are the flowers up close laid out on the card.  I will post another tutorial on the smaller blue flowers ext time! So be sure to check back with the Dolls!

Thank you my friend

Hi!

I don't know about you, but so close after valentines I still have a bunch of valentines images laying around on my table. So I decided to use them up for cards that doesn't need to be love cards. Today is a thank you card for a dear friend, I'm using Heart Basket Sophie and I coloured her up with my copic markers. If you want to see the copic colouring and card tutorial video for this card you'll find it HERE.
